BEST DRESSED: MTV MOVIE AWARDS

Emma Watson was the only one who stood out for me at the MTV movie awards. As I mentioned in an earlier post I'm slightly in love with her style at the moment and as both looks are Marchesa it was a given. Both looks are stunning and incorporate the intricate embellishment and structure of Marchesa in a much more informal way than we normally see. I wish she'd kept her hair short for longer as we've only seen a handful of looks from her since she had the chop.

STYLE ICON: NICOLA ROBERTS

Nicola Roberts has such a unique look and always looks stunning wearing quirky looks. This week she was at Radio 1 wearing this symmetrical print dress and then arriving for the launch party of her single in this mixture of printed skinny trousers, printed top, leather jacket and purple heels.

I'M LOVING HELEN FLANAGAN'S NEW HAIR

I was looking through some celeb photos today and came across one of a blonde girl with Brooke Vincent......so I googled her name and was shocked to see that it was her on-screen sister Helen Flanagan with a brand new look. Wow what a transformation! I think she looks stunning. The new pixie platinum blonde do has given her an instant iconic look.

I spent years admiring the pixie and thought that anyone with it oozed style (i.e. Carey Mulligan/Agyness Deyn). Watching This Is England '86 and adoring Emma Watson's dramatic cut were the final push and I braved the pixie cut after having long hair all my life in January. I've never regretted it and I think it's the best hairstyle I've ever had. I started out with my natural colour of mousy blonde which was similar to Emma Watson's and quite a few people actually said that I looked liked her (which I loved because I'd developed a small girl crush on her). I have since gone violet blonde and now have my sights set on pink with dark roots like Kelly from This Is England '86. Girls with short hair definitely have the most fun!

LIFE BALL: NATASHA BEDINGFIELD

Natasha Bedingfield attended 'Life Ball 2011' in Vienna on Sunday wearing this stunning jewel encrusted black fishtail gown. The spine shaped crystal design on the back is gothic-ly beautiful.

BEST DRESSED: BILLBOARDS AWARDS

There were only two looks worthy of a mention at the Billboard Awards which were held in Las Vegas last night. Kylie looked gorgeous in a black symmetrically patterned Alexander McQueen dress with fringed platform heels. I love how unpredictable Rihanna is, she really does look good in anything and this is no exception. I much prefer her hair at this length too.

KYLIE MINOGUE'S TOUR OUTFITS

Kylie Minogue performed her 'Aphrodite Live' show at the Hollywood Bowl in LA on Saturday. I've heard that she puts on an amazing show and saw some great costumes from her Showgirl tour. These are some of the seven looks she performed in. The show has a Roman/Goddess theme...hence the name. This is such an interesting mix of looks from a burlesque/ gothic outfit comprising of a net covered top hat, gold and black corset and black feather skirt to a pearl draped body with chiffon cape. I love how the metallic fabric dress has been shaped to reflect the light and next time I dress up as She-ra I'm definitely stealing some ideas.

BEST DRESSED: amFAR's CINEMA AGAINST AIDS GALA, CANNES

On Thursday yet another red carpet event was held during Cannes Film Festival. There were some beautiful dresses on display, my favorite being a nude pink layered Roberto Cavalli gown worn by Ana Beatriz Barros. I actually love this. Georgina Chapman, one of the two Marchesa designers, wore her own label.

Michelle Rodriguez wore a stunning nude pink backless, jewel embellished fishtail Jean Fares Couture gown. The shaping around then neck which falls into the open back add a sophisticated edge and the jeweling on the pockets and swirling down the back of the gown is stunning. I don't really think the dress suits Michelle very well and it is too long on her. Fan Bing Bing dazzled as always in a stand out Fuscia Pink ruffled Louis Vuitton gown. Clotilde Courau made interesting choice wearing a white slogan T-shirt reading 'IRONIC ICONIC' and black high waist skirt. I really like this mixture of a t-shirt with a formal skirt.

BEST DRESSED: PHILIPS BRITISH ACADEMY TELEVISION AWARDS

The Philips British Academy Television Awards were held in London this evening. These are the looks that I liked the most. Cara Tointon looked elegantly beautiful in a jewel encrusted Grecian lilac gown.  Daisy Lowe wore quite the opposite in a black striped revealing dress; this punky risque style is what she does best. Paula Lane, from Coronation Street, also looked refreshingly different in this 1940s styled look wearing a coral maxi gown.

CANNES FILM FESTIVAL: ULIANA SERGIENKO

I spend a lot of time googling people and events to find as many photos of outfits as possible. I uncovered this picture of a model called Uliana Sergienko taken at a premiere in Cannes on Wednesday. As she's an unknown (well to me anyway) she won't be appearing on many sites/ magazines/ blogs and I can only find this one image of her. This look fits so many trends and is yet quite daring and something we haven't seen before. This Victorian inspired ensemble is simply made up of a high waist floral skirt and sheer white blouse. Her wavy long hair and red lips finished this look perfectly.

MISCHA BARTON IS PRETTY IN PINK

This is the first time I have seen Mischa Barton looking good for a long time. She attended the Moet and Chandon Cocktail Party in Cannes yesterday. For a while now her fashion choices have just looked odd rather than stylish. I think she looks lovely in this pretty pink dress and of course her outfit wouldn't have been complete without the accent azure blue on her nails.

GET YOUR OWN: JORGIE PORTER'S SOAP AWARDS GOWN

I was just browsing through ASOS' maxi dresses and came across this Aqua dress that looked very familiar. It is the same one worn by Jorgie Porter to the Soap Awards last Saturday. They have it is Teal, Red and Black. The above picture if of the Teal colourway and I'm not sure whether it is the lighting or a different colour to Jorgie's below. You can order this red carpet gown now for £100.

NEW IN MY WARDROBE: PRIMARK FLORAL SKIRT

I got this tulip print skirt in Primark last week. The colours are beautiful and the print is more reminiscent of something you would find in River Island. The top layer is a floaty chiffon with a stiff taffeta lining which gives it a fuller shape. It fits perfectly at the waist and is a great buy at £8.00.

RED CARPET FAVORITE: JIL SANDER MAXI SKIRT

When looking through the photos from the Fashion For Relief show I recognised this outfit immediatly as it's been worn on the red carpet several times. The first was last December by Kate Bosworth and more recently by Susann Atwel and Tilda Swinton.

FASHION FOR RELIEF FASHION SHOW IN CANNES

Yesterday Naomi Campbell held the Fashion For Relief Fashion Show in Cannes. Naomi, Karolina Kurkova, Jane Fonda, Rosario Dawson and Bruce Forsyth were just some of the models to take to the runway. There didn't appear to be a theme the show it simply showed a range of styles from a range of designers. I was very happy to see pieces from my favorite designers Alexander McQueen and Marchesa. All of the Alexander McQueen gowns are dramatic with the two-tone dye effect emphasising volume. Jane Fonda wore the lace fishtail Marchesa gown which I wrote about just yesterday. She does look nice but I'd still like to see this on someone like Sarah Jessica Parker who would take it to another level. Miranda Kerr wore the short layered prom dress at the Met Gala, her version was not quite as short.
