On my weekly tour of the charity shops in my town I came across these ornate grape weighing scales for £4. I bought them before I had dreamed up a use for it (I don't spend a lot of my time weighing grapes) and thought it might look nice as a jewellery stand. I already use unconventional items to display my jewels including a beautiful cut glass rose bowl which is perfect for earings and brooches, a cut glass jug and fruit bowl and a cup holder stand (all charity shops). My latest find is perfect for displaying long earings and holding small brooches in the bowl.
