Dame Helen Mirren looked breathtaking wearing Lanvin at the New York premiere of her new film 'Arthur' this week. The mixture of different fabics in subtle grey hues, completed with a baroque style pearl neckace, creates a look that is both interesting and beautiful. This year the actress has really stood out for me as a style icon.

In my opinion she was the best dressed at the 2011 Oscars wearing a Vivienne Westwood Couture gown and looked flawless wearing Badglet Mischka at the 2011 Golden Globes. She clearly knows what suits her on the red carpet with a simple equation of a floor length gown, with sleeves, and a statement necklace. Her style is very sophistocated and elegant whilst being unpredictable and interesting.
